Fraternity Forward Coalition Launches “Fraternities Know Men” Campaign

Multi-Platform Campaign Establishes Fraternal Movement as Subject Matter Experts on Young Men in Crisis

(Washington, D.C.) – Fraternity Forward Coalition, an organization of some of North America’s most established men’s collegiate fraternities, announced today that it has launched “Fraternities Know Men,” a multi-platform national campaign to establish the fraternal industry as the leading voice on the crisis facing young men and a source for proven solutions to it.

The campaign will feature a variety of persuasive assets, including a website (fraternitiesknowmen.org), a video series, digital advertising, research and public opinion projects, media placements, public events and policy recommendations. The launch comes at a time when young men contend with widespread loneliness and social isolation, declining mental health and a lack of mentorship.

“Fraternities have been helping develop college men for 250 years, and the data confirm the opportunities fraternities offer are relevant and needed. While society is starting to wake up to the challenges facing young men, fraternity chapters have been on the front lines offering direct interpersonal and leadership skills that help men thrive,” Wynn Smiley,  Fraternity Forward Coalition board member and spokesman, said. “Fraternities have the institutional knowledge and track record to speak to the young men’s crisis that a growing number of people are suddenly talking about. We know what works because we’ve been doing it for generations, creating the opportunities where young men build lasting friendships, develop leadership skills and find purpose. The Fraternities Know Men campaign positions fraternities where we belong: at the table as subject matter experts.”
